One Lux 2016
One Lux = the light cast by the moon on a clear night.
Humanity has lit their world to such extremes that in many densely populated cities we have lost sight of the moon and stars altogether.
A constructed moon, suspended between buildings reminds us not to forget the scale of our existence and our place in the universe. The pattern has developed through observing imagery of the surface of the moon (and the moon itself) and how the moon (a spherical mirror) might be reflecting the stars of the universe.
